What is CTST?
CTST stands for Country Two Step Tour. It is a leveled Jack and Jill competition where anyone can enter as a leader and/or follower and dance with someone you randomly draw. This is a fun social competition, no qualification required – however the division you enter is based on the number of points you have earned in other CTST competitions as described at the bottom of our CTST Points Registry page. What WSDC is to West Coast Swing, CTST is to Two Step!

When is CTST at Worlds?
It is on Friday January 2nd in the UC Corral. Exact time will be found on the final schedule located on the UCWDC Event Schedule page closer to the event. Be sure to register for the competition before the cutoff date/time (Friday, January 2nd at 9am).
Why should I participate?
The UCWDC roots are founded in social dance. It is great to carry on that tradition and bring more dancers into the family as we show them our love of two step. One way we do that is by highlighting this fantastic dance with fun, casual competitions like this one. And no fancy costumes, boots, or hats required!
How should I prepare?
Social dance two step…a lot…with a lot of people – and read the recommended judging guidelines posted on the CTST FAQ webpage.
Additionally, Worlds is offering a CTST prep class taught by Kelly Bryan (featuring Jeremy Bryan if his judging schedule allows) Wednesday December 31st in the afternoon. Exact time will be found on the final schedule located on the UCWDC Event Schedule page closer to the event.
This workshop is designed to teach what judges of CTST competitions typically look for at each of the levels and how to meet those requirements. Hint: In most cases they are NOT looking for how many “moves” you know! Even if you don’t want to compete, this workshop is great for cleaning up the technical aspects of your two step!
